Can someone help me with my ipod?

Ok so I was on my iPod touch today and i went to the updates. i clicked on the update for paper toss and then i checked my phone. when i came back to my iPod it turned black... it wasn't dead because it just charged and i tried turning it on again but it won't work!!!!! is it broken or is it just being stupid??? can someone tell me what to do!?
