Friends dislike him/dont approve,family likes him? Who is right?

I was in some what of the same situation. I realized they're jealous. They said we wouln"t last a month and we've been together over a year and a half. He's the most amazing guy and I'm glad I didn't listen. They were telling me stuff just so I would not wanna date him. Maybe they want him. You can not always trust your friends
