When did Yahoo automatically have Flickr attached to accounts?

At one time, when ever you wanted to save pictures on Yahoo (not send them to anyone just save them), they used go to Yahoo Photo and then at one point they went to Flickr. You did not have to sign up for a new account but it was part of your Yahoo account. Anyone remember when this was? I have deleted the Yahoo account a long time ago. But it did not delete the Flickr account because now Yahoo has you make a seperate account for Flickr. How do I delete this account now?
